BIBLE -THUMPER
Would you pay $59.95 for a Bible because Trump's name is printed somewhere inside? He had nothing to do with the writing of the Bible. He probably hasn't even read it. He certainly doesn't live by it. This is a con job! This is a guy hawking the "good book" in a new and politically "bad" way.
The states of Texas and Oklahoma are preparing to vote on a bill that would demand every school in their states would have to have bibles in all of their classrooms. Each state has slight variations in their proposed bills, but one thing is certain: Every classroom will need Bibles! Oklahome has passed the bill to fund $3 million to buy the Bibles.
There was much debating in both states and on both sides of the proposal. If you get online, you can read their thoughts.
I consider myself a Christian and I have read the Bible - some of it many times. But, I never once considered giving an order to force our kids to read it at ages six through eighteen. In the state of Oklahoma, the plan is to actually teach from the Bible in addition to their regular curriculum.
What happened to the idea that religion was taught in the home and church, all other education curriculum was taught in the public school. . . and never the twain to meet?
By the close of today's news cycle, we may know how the bills fared. I've got my fingers crossed. And Trump knows what he can do with his $59.95 con job!
