Republicans are getting what they asked for - but they won't like it!

Today's Word about the American Authoritarian

We did not choose this path. We did not even want it to be spoken aloud. We were given but two choices to lead our nation out of this morass. Kamala Harris could head us in the right direction or Donald Trump would, by his own admission, drive us deeper into the world of authoritarianism. 

The pictures could not be clearer for our voters. They had it all spelled out and on the ballot in front of them. Trump wanted to drop our democracy, rule of  law, create presidential powers that would be far beyond anything we have ever seen, dictatorial options that would give him near-limitless immunity to transform our nation - at will - and share his power with the most influential and richest people in the world. He would be able to work with other dictators around the globe as they plotted even more wealth and power among themselves. 

Voters of America watched all of this unfolding in front of their eyes and doubted everything. Further, they even fought and threatened the rest of us if we tried to stop their insurrection of our government!

This is where we are today. This very well could be the  ending or our democracy and the beginning of our fascist way of life.

When people in Germany were asked after the war why they didn't see the Nazi world coming, they answered, "We didn't think they had that in mind."

What do those who voted for Trump think he has in mind? And don't think it can't happen here. There were some in Germany in the 1930S who fought against Hitler, too! 

Germany - like America -  had their their version of a "Nov.  5, 2024 election," too, and nothing went well for them, either!

Pull your head out of your butt and start paying attention.
