The Grinch who stole our democracy. . .

The Grinch of Trumpville
(Formerly Whoville)

You're a mean one, you're really a heel
You're as cuddly as a cactus, you're as charming as an eel
You're a bad banana with a greasy black peel.

You're a vile one, you've got termites in your smile
You have all the tender sweetness of a seasick crocodile

You're a foul one, friends you don't have none
I wouldn't touch you with a 39-and-a-half foot pole
You're a monster and your heart's an empty hole
You're a goner, you've got garlic in your soul

Such are the words to the song "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," by Dr. Seuss. The story suddenly takes a strange twist. The reclusive orangey-green Grinch decides to ruin Christmas for the cheery citizens of the American Whoville. He comes over from his Mar-a-Lago home and sneaks into town to swipe everything holiday-related from the Whos. However, the bitter grump finds a hitch in his plans when he encounters the democracy-lovin' You-whos.

The residents of Whoville cease being cheery when the Orangey-Green Grinch arrives and begins stealing their holiday and their happy democracy. A new song fills the air:

You're a bad one, Mr. Trump.
You'll get some coal, but just one lump.
We like our freedom and democracy,
We won't let go, you wait and see.

We have no need for a king or czar.
Your love of money won't take you far.
You'll find more power is nor much fun,
Mister Trump, you're time is done!
