The idea of Mr. Spock's "Live Long and Prosper" ain't possible. . .

A highly questionable
Medical Opinion

$71  Billion  in  PROFITS
 Last year, the Seven Largest
Private Health Insurers Made $71 Billon in Profits!
Enough is Enough.

The problem is excellent health care that is keeping us alive long beyond our "average life expectancy" of 74.8 years for men and 80.2 years for women.  We Americans, for example, are having nothing to do with those numbers.

We demand to live until our skin looks like a prune, our hair is white and falling out, and we need at least one bathroom every twelve feet apart in our home. We want doctors, pharmacists, ask-a-nurse on speed dial, life-alert monitors around our necks, and neighbors at-the-ready should we need someone. We want the latest medications for any disease we may be exposed to. We want a portable EKG in the bedroom and bathroom. We want the monitors to check our breathing and pulse rate on each end table. We want the ambulance phone number on a wrist band at all times. We want oxygen hoses strung throughout the house. We want neighbors who are thoroughly "read in" on our medical history so they be of quick help. We want to be advised of the latest medicine available at all times.

And, most of all, we want our medical expenses cut by at least 50%! How are we supposed to live to at least 100 years of age if we are going to run out of our "golden age"of money.

Otherwise, if we can't get all of this stuff I have just mentioned, we might as well just make a cup of hot chocolate, sit down, turn on a football game, and die during our nap.

Wouldn't that make the medical insurance folks who count the  money madder than a wet hen?
