"Never underestimate the stupidity of people in a large group."
That "cautionary remark" is often attributed to comedian George Carlin. I have used it several times, myself - especially in the world of crazy politics.
And, how much crazier can it get than to turn on my television this morning and actually see Elon Musk dancing onto the stage somewhere in the great state of Wisconsin with a Green Bay Packers Cheeseblock on his pointy little head?
I have been a loyal Packer fan since 1960 - even have some shares in the only publicly-held NFL team in the league. I heard a vicious, dirty, low-down, tell-me-it's-not-true rumor yesterday on Facebook that Elon Musk has made an offer to buy the Packers for a mere $7.5 Billion, lock, stock and barrel!
I would prefer they either stay publicly-owned or gather every player and coach in the middle of Lambeau field and commit a full-squad and coaches Hari-Kari, with Elon Musk performing the ritual of self-disembowelment that is always the show-stopper headline of the evening.
Sorry, but I get carried away when someone wants to mess with my Packers!
