Let's diagram what happened at the Oval Office during President Zelenskyy's visit.
The principals enter the room. . .
Vice-President Vance jumps to his feet, points at President Zelenskyy, and shouts, "What the heck is going on here? Don't you understand you are in the headquarters of the universe? You're dressed like a night fighter who's ready for war!" The Ukraine President answers, "I'm sorry to enter such a holiest-of-holy place dressed this way, but I just came from the battlefield. I did not have time to change clothes. We have lost 886 brave soldiers this morning and 1,163 women and children in our cities since dawn.A man named Putin is still trying to take over - and kill - my people, and, I must return to the war once we're through here today."
V.P. Vance, responds, "That's not showing us much gratitude for arranging this meeting. As a matter of fact, you haven't shown us much gratitude at all! Another thing, I'm betting you don't even own a suit, do you?"
"Mr. Vice-President, I do have a suit, but I. . ." President Trump interrupted and said, "Okay, we'll let the suit thing slide, but don't come here again without one."
President Zelenskyy begged Trump, "But I'm fighting for my people in Ukraine. Where they fight, I fight! President Trump, have you never gone to battle for your people?"
(A garbbled response was unintelligible)
Vice-President pointed a finger at Zelenskyy and - with great anger yelled "it is of no concern to you whether our courageous and feared leader served in our military. He would have, but his foot hurt that day!"
The meeting broke up with no signed agreements and our great and glorious president called over six White House guards to lead Ukraine president Zelenskyy to the rear door of the Oval Office and tossed him into the alley.
And Russian's Putin could be heard laughing all the way from Moscow!
The set-up and ambush by Trump and Vance was successful, the press had start-to-finish coverage, and the world shrieked in horror at what just happened in the holiest-of-holy center of what "once was the pinnacle of the world's greatest democracy!"
Remember those names: Trump, Vance, and Putin - Dictators of the world!
A pretty darn near perfect, word-for-word, piece of sarcasm.
I continue to be speechless....so glad you are not...thank you
