"A fine kettle of fish we've gotten ourselves into"

Vice-President JD Vance

(The title is a well-known catchphrase associated with Laurel and Hardy)
In 2016, JD Vance said, "I go back and forth between thinking Trump is a cynical asshole like Nixon . . . or that he's America's Hitler."

That was the current American Vice-President speaking -  and a man whom the current President gA considered to be  a very close advisor.

The question arises: Is Donald Trump a Fascist?

Since he has never come right out and admitted it, I certainly can't write it, but as my grandmother said several times, "A man is judged by the company he keeps."

Steve Bannon and Elon Musk have both been close friends and advisors to Trump.  During a CPAC Convention, Musk ended his speech  by extending his right arm with the hand flat to duplicate the Nazi or Fascist salute. On another occasion, Bannon was also photographed pounding his left chest with his right fist - a Fascist salute.

After Trump called for a Muslim travel ban in late 2015, he was described as a Fascist by Democrats and Republicans, including Conservative activists Max Boot and others who compared Trump's travel ban to what Hitler would have done. Boot called him a very "dangerous" man. Virginia Republican Governor Jim Gilmore said he feared Trump's "deportation force" as "fascist talk."

Maybe it's time authorities dig a bit deeper into just who this Trump guy is and how much should we be in fear of him.  That is, we do still fear Fascists, don't we?
