Oligarchy: A small group of people in control of a country.
Malarky: Foolish nonsense, misleading
In a country of about 330 million people, I would guess that a "mob' of MAGA people - including the president and his cabinet and various MAGA "belivers" scattered around the country would constitute an Oligarchy. When combined with the word malarky - meaning foolish nonsense and misleading - we get the compound word: Oligarchy-malarky. (I've always wanted to make up a word for the dictionary and this is my entry.)
In my humble opinion, a conglomeration of Oligarchy-malarky people could quite easily bring a country to its knees. A handful of oligarchs holding the amount of money to buy just about anything worth buying constitutes an oligarchy, and that should define the situation in America today. Coupled with that, these greedy, self-centered individuals with misleading and foolish nonsense makes for a very dangerous "enemy within."
We all know some of their names: Trump, Musk, Bezos, Zuckerberg, and so on. But there are many who have - until now - always flown under the radar. With Trump winning his second term as president and bringing all of them to the surface, these money magnates are relishing the limelight. They have all become "shiny bright objects" and are not satisfied with just their money - they now are paying big, big bucks to Trump to get plum jobs in the administration! Trump's cabinet is jammed to the bottom drawer with guys who are more than happy to help those who are already richer than snot by making sure bills are passed to make them all even richer!
Money-makers begets more money-makers and more money-makers. . . you get what I mean.
This entire process will turn America into an ugly Oligarchy overnight, and they won't look twice at the piddly status of all of us. As a matter of fact, it will make it much worse for us!
And all the while, Trump is bragging about the outstanding group of oligarchs he has nominated to run our national security, defense, FBI, health care, EPA, and so on. Money will lead the way, call the shots, and ignore everything else.
Viva La Money!
